Marketing Strategist

Our best campaigns start with research-led insight – not recycled or gimmicky marketing tactics. As our Marketing Strategist, you’ll guide how we onboard new clients, understand their students, and position their programs for long-term success. Your work is rooted in how adult learners behave: what they look for, what they avoid, what earns their trust, and what moves them to act.

This role is built for someone who enjoys digging deeper than the surface, challenging assumptions, and exploring new approaches instead of relying on what everyone else is doing.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop marketing strategies for education and training clients — grounded in research, behaviour, and clear reasoning.
  • Conduct research: market patterns, student motivations, cultural cues, competitive signals, and insight summaries.
  • Turn insights into simple strategic plans, funnels, messaging direction, and experiments.
  • Build funnel maps, landing page structures, and decision paths that reflect actual student behaviour.
  • Join strategy calls with partner success managers and media buyers to align goals, pacing, audiences, and creative direction.
  • Help shape the story behind the metrics
  • Prepare strategy decks, opportunity maps, and experiment plans.
  • Collaborate closely with partner success managers to keep strategies aligned with client goals.
  • Support execution when needed, especially around messaging direction, funnel adjustments, and testing priorities.

Who This Role Fits

  • You’re a behavioural + research-led thinker – you dig before deciding.
  • You look for patterns and steer clear from assumptions.
  • You pay attention to human behaviour, timing, and the subtle cultural cues that influence decisions.
  • Your strategies are practical, not theoretical.
  • You value clarity over cleverness and explain ideas simply.
  • You don’t hide behind jargon or “framework talk.”
  • When you present a strategy, people understand it and understand why it works.
  • You work well with partner success managers, media buyers, creatives, and copywriters.
  • You communicate clearly and often.
  • You influence the work without trying to “run the room.”
  • You help others think clearly without creating pressure.
  • You can go from insight to action and don’t stay in exploration forever.
  • You know when you have enough information to recommend the next step.
  • You balance thinking with doing.

Must-haves Skills & Experience

  • You have a degree in a strategy-adjacent field — marketing, communications, psychology, business, or something similar.
  • Experience developing marketing strategies (agency or in-house).
  • Ability to interpret research, cultural signals, and human behavior.
  • Familiarity with paid media fundamentals (Meta, Google) and how strategy shapes performance.
  • Ability to map funnels, structure landing pages, and define messaging direction.
  • Comfort analysing performance data and turning it into insights.
  • Strong communication across async channels.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple teams (partner success managers, media, creative) across time zones.
  • Experience preparing strategy decks, experiment plans, and research summaries

Nice-To-Have Skills

  • Experience with education, online courses, or training programs.
  • Exposure to awareness frameworks, segmentation models, or student psychology.
  • Experience conducting interviews with clients or end users.
  • Basic understanding of email flows or conversion paths.
